Therapy that recognises how your identity, faith, and culture shape your wellbeing.

Ready to Start Your Journey?

Deciding to seek therapy is an act of self-care and strength. I'm here to guide you through finding the right support. Below are 3 steps to help you choose the right therapist.

1

Identify your needs?

Take some time to reflect on what's bringing you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. Consider the type of support you're looking for - whether it's help with a specific issue like anxiety or depression, relationship difficulties, or simply a space to talk through life's challenges. Think about practical considerations too, such as whether you prefer in-person or online sessions, and what times work best for your schedule.

2

Check credentials and specialisms

Ensure your therapist is properly qualified and registered with the appropriate professional body. For clinical psychologists in the UK, this means HCPC registration. Look at their areas of specialism and therapeutic approaches to see if they align with your needs. It's important to choose someone with experience in the issues you're facing.

3

Book a discovery call

The therapeutic relationship is key to successful therapy, so it's important to find someone you feel comfortable with. A discovery call gives you the opportunity to ask questions, discuss your concerns, and get a sense of whether the therapist is the right fit for you. Trust your instincts - feeling heard, understood, and at ease is essential for effective therapy.

"I was nervous about starting therapy, but Dr Shirin made the whole process so much easier. From our first conversation, I felt heard and understood. The approach was tailored to exactly what I needed." Amina
